Our nations capital provides some of the most interesting sites to see with children of all ages. Bring the family to see the monuments that reflect the history of our country.
A must see for the family while in DC is the national mall. Park the car and take the metro to the Smithsonian stop. This will put you in the heart of the national mall. From here you and the kids can see all of the major monuments in DC within a short walk of each other. If you plan to take any tours you will want to get tickets early since most of the tours fill up very quickly.

We were fortunate enough to be in DC while the cherry blossoms were in full bloom.
If your in the DC area take the time to walk your kids though the history of this great city. If you have more than a day then plan to spend a day at the Smithsonian.
